   Harmanli is a town situated on the way from Europe to Asia, a town with a five-century history… Harmanli is a small town in the south-west of Bulgaria.

Neofit Rilski is the biggest school in the Manucipality of Harmanli.It’s named after a famous Bulgarian bookman from the first half of the 19th century.
 
 
  It’s a comprehensive school with secondary and higher secondary education and one hundred years of the five-century-year history of our town is the history of Neofit Rilski School. As an institution it was founded in 1909.
   Currently there are 711 students (29 classes from which 12 are high school. We also teach 11 students with special needs and educational disabilities) and 53 members teaching staff. Some of the latter are former alumni of the school.

General subjects in school: Bulgarian language and literature, English, Russian, German, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Maths, ICT, Computer Studies, Art, PE, Music, Psychology and Philosophy.
     Some of the classes after the 7th or 8th grade have different programmes of studies for the following profiles:

                  -Humanitarian subjects
                  -ICT
                  -Maths and Natural Studies
     There is a variety of extracurricular educational activities(club forms) related to Environmental issues, English, Red Cross etc.
